Greetings of the day, My name is Dr Caffy Lydiah. I am a committed Christian with advanced academic and professional training in Christian leadership, psychology, counselling, and mental health. I hold a Doctorate in Christian Leadership, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Master of Science (MSc) in Psychology, and I am a member of the British Psychology Society (BPS). I have also attained professional certifications in counselling and mental health. My work integrates faith-informed leadership with evidence-based psychological practice to promote holistic well-being and ethical service.
I am currently pursuing admission into PhD research in psychology, with a focus on mental health, counselling practice, resilience, addiction and community-based psychological interventions. My research interests are informed by both academic inquiry and extensive professional experience.
I bring over 12 years’ professional experience with the National Health Service (NHS), where I worked as a Senior Support Worker, supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, contributing to multidisciplinary care and maintaining high standards of ethical, person-centred practice. This role significantly strengthened my understanding of mental health systems and clinical support frameworks.
I am honoured to be a recipient of the Distinguished Ambassador Honour Award, that recognised exemplary leadership, service and positive representation within academic and community contexts.
I serve as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Community Resilience Empowerment, an organisation dedicated to strengthening individual and community resilience through psychological support, counselling, addiction awareness and capacity-building initiatives.
In addition to my professional and academic roles, I am actively engaged as a community leader and volunteer, working collaboratively with individuals, families and communities to enhance mental well-well-being, foster resilience and promote sustainable empowerment.
My work is grounded in Christian values, academic rigour and a strong commitment to advancing holistic community development through counselling, education and advocacy.
